1.3.7.1 FRAME MATCHING

Begin by reviewing the frame numbers on the edges of your edited work print and indexing them against the paper EDL (edit decision list) generated in the editing stage. This list MUST be exact and complete, noting every frame as well as a total frame count from cut to cut. The frames on the negative must be EXACTLY matched to those on the work print using the EDL as your primary reference. If you are not exactly sure where every single frame of negative goes, go over your EDL again and again until you fully understand what you are supposed to be cutting before you cut any negative. Measure twice - cut once.
